Microsoft Access Overview

At first glance, Access merely offers desktop relational database computing power on a budget, but with its in-built tools Access gives even large Organisations the ability to achieve sophisticated interfaces without the need for specialist staff or equipment.

Seer Computing specialise in relational databases and have many clients who have large Oracle databases which process masses of data throughout the week, but many of these same Companies also have individual groups of staff relying on Access for information.

Access is ideal for storing small to medium amounts of data which can be interrogated independant of the 'Corporate Database'. In addition, this same data can at any time be imported into the central database or could itself receive an export from it.

Access can also be the ideal solution for small or medium enterprises (SMEs) who need the ability to store data, produce input screens, view the data from various scenarios without the expense of commissioning a full scale database configuration.

Seer Computing Ltd offer three levels of training in Access, Part I is the beginners or introduction to Access course, this introduces the concepts of relational database design as well as using Access from the outset, Part II covers more sophisticated techniques with Access and can be regarded as Intermediate Access training.

Part III deals with creating an entire system which utilises Access in the best way possible. All of our courses cover the most popular versions, each course/version has an overview and index for you to study on their individual pages.

All Access courses are single Company, this is to ensure that the topics of interest to you are fully covered.
