What is Forms?
Forms is a front end GUI product provided by Oracle to allows Users to access the Oracle Database whilst providing Developer with a means of controlling
this access.
Some of our Developers remember Forms when it was Forms 2.3, it has moved on since then and became Forms 3, Forms 4, Forms 4.5, Forms 5, Forms 6, Forms 9i,
Forms 10g and Forms 11g.
Seer Computing Ltd has been supporting and building Forms applications since Forms 3.
Structure
Depending on the version, the Forms courses range from 4 to 5 days duration. The course is designed to give delegates complete training in the use of using Oracle Forms,
from the running of existing Forms to the debugging of existing Forms. The ideal candidate for this course has already attended our Essential SQL and PLSQL course as
Oracle Forms utilises both SQL and PLSQL within the product.
The Oracle Forms 11g product executes via a browser, earlier versions of Forms ran on the client machine, the browser utilisation means that the System can be rolled out to Users
without the need for installation of the Forms product on individual machines.
Pricing
The pricing for this course depends on the number attending, whether the location is on-site or at a local conference centre close to your
place of work, sizeable discounts are available when more than two delegates attend the course (up to 12 delegates can be placed on the same
course).
Objectives
At the end of the course the Delegate will be able to create and maintain Oracle Forms systems using the Oracle Forms software.
